The partial discharge measurement as an extended commission test ensures the correct assembly of all components and detects defects in solid insulation, voltage transformers and circuit breakers, before the failure of the equipment occurs.

 

The partial discharge measurement can be used to diagnose the actual situation of matured switchgears and to plan future maintenances or revisions.
